Painting plastic components and parts has long been a problem for many manufacturing companies. Most plastic materials, especially TPOs like Polyethylene, have extremely low surface tensions that resist paint adhesion.
U.S. Paint’s extensive experience in designing paint for plastic parts and components has yielded more effective solutions based on the use of superior primer systems and topcoats that feature great adhesion properties. Our specialized 2K coatings for plastic materials are HAPs free and can typically be baked at temperatures near 190°F (versus 250°F for most competitive plastic paints). In addition, our Universal Adhesion Promoter has proved extremely effective across a wide variety of materials. Regardless of the plastic material you are painting, U.S. Paint undoubtedly has a paint systems designed specifically for your process.
